Car Seat Program
The Oswego County Health Department has three nationally certified Child Passenger Safety (CPS) technicians. They are available to assess the condition of your car seat, assist with installation, and educate about child passenger safety. Seats can be checked by appointment.
The Oswego County Health Department partners with the Oswego County Traffic Safety Board to administer their low income car seat distribution program. This car seat program is intended for income eligible residents of Oswego County and is provided by grant funds from the Governor's Traffic Safety Committee. Proof of eligibility is required to be shown to receive a car seat. The Oswego County Traffic Safety Board reserves the right to limit the number of seats to each family based on funding and previous program participation. You must have legal custody of the child you are requesting a seat for.
